We have a vacancy for a full-time Band 3 Medical Secretary to join our Plastics Team. Please ensure you take the time to read through the job description and person specification before applying.

Job Responsibilities

For the Medical Secretary role you will work within a multi-disciplinary team and be responsible for a range of duties related to patient pathway management, including:

  • Diary management
  • Audio transcription and word processing of clinical letters
  • Ensuring RTT is recorded accurately with relation to National and Local RTT standards
  • Production of reports and other correspondence as required by the Medical Team and Team manager
  • Cross covering colleagues in times of annual leave and sickness

Medical secretarial experience is desirable but not essential. You will have a high standard of communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with staff at all levels. Enthusiasm, motivation and demonstration of pride in your work are important.

This role is primarily based at Bradford Royal Infirmary, however there may occasionally be a requirement to work across sites to provide cover as the service spans both Bradford Royal Infirmary and St Luke's Hospital.
