Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Fatigue services team as a Medical Secretary/Patient Pathway Co‑ordinator.

This is a dual role where you will spend your time between medical secretary and patient pathway co‑ordination.

This will be a varied role that will require attention to detail and high levels of concentration. We are looking for a part‑time candidate (4 days per week) with the opportunity to work from home for one day per week.

Main duties of the job
  • Provide a complete medical administrative service including booking in and out appointments, patient correspondence and editing and formatting letters.
  • Liaise with members of the multidisciplinary team to provide a quality service for the patients.
  • Work as part of a team, sharing responsibility for the smooth running of the administrative service to deliver safe patient care.
  • Provide a first point of contact, answering all telephone enquiries, taking and relaying messages in a polite and helpful manner, and using own judgement to establish the priority of issues and taking action as appropriate.
