A leading healthcare provider in the UK is seeking an experienced Medical Secretary/Pathway Coordinator to deliver a full secretarial service in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will manage patient appointments, communicate effectively with various stakeholders, and ensure high standards of patient confidentiality while supporting clinical staff. This role involves working with Trust systems to ensure the smooth operational flow of patient pathways.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and well organised Medical Secretary / Pathway Co-ordinator to work within a busy, supportive and dynamic service for Kings College Hospital based at Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential as the post holder will be expected to be able to communicate effectively and sensitively with a wide range of people including patients, colleagues, sub-contractors and external agencies to ensure continuity in achieving excellence in patient care. The ability to work under pressure and exercise judgement when dealing with tasks is essential to this role. The post holder will ensure confidential and sensitive information in relation to patients is kept secure and will follow the policies and procedures for the Department and the Trust. It is vital that the post holder will proactively assist in maintaining high standards and professional practice.
