Job summary

A prominent healthcare provider in Barrow-in-Furness seeks a reliable and enthusiastic Medical Secretary. Qualifications

  • Experience working in a Medical secretarial role required.
  • Strong data inputting and checking skills.
  • Experience in customer services environment is necessary.
  • Ability to manage diaries and organise meetings proficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to specified Consultants.
  • Facilitate and coordinate activities with medical secretaries to ensure efficient service.
  • Support CAMHS team and administrative colleagues as needed.

Skills

Advanced communication and organisational skills
Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment
Ability to interface with the judiciary by telephone and correspondence
Ability to process and manage information relating to distressing events
Ability to work without direct supervision on own initiative

Education

Good Level of education including Maths and English at GCSE or equivalent
Business Administration NVQ 4 or equivalent ECDL
AMSPAR Qualification

Tools

Knowledge of Datix Patient Safety System
Knowledge of NHS data systems such as RiO, eCPA, ESR, Health Roster
