Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and professional Medical Secretary to join the Specialist Network within the Forensic Inpatient Department at Guild Lodge, Whittingham. This role is ideal for someone with strong secretarial skills who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and is passionate about supporting high-quality patient care. You'll be part of a motivated and supportive team, working closely with consultants and junior doctors to ensure the smooth running of services. Role Responsibilities

As a Forensic Inpatient Medical Secretary you will provide a comprehensive and professional secretarial service to the medical team, including audio transcription, live typing, and document preparation. You will support weekly MDT meetings, liaise with internal and external stakeholders, and manage sensitive patient information with discretion and accuracy.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The role requires excellent IT and communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a flexible approach to covering colleagues during periods of absence. Your attention to detail and understanding of medical terminology will be key to your success in this role.
