A healthcare practice in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a qualified Medical Secretary to provide support across two sites. Responsibilities include audio and copy typing for health professionals, managing appointments using the e-Referral Service, and assisting with clerical tasks. Candidates should have experience in a medical environment and knowledge of relevant software. This role offers the opportunity to work within a friendly and supportive team.

To provide general secretarial support to thePractice, Doctors and Health Professionals involving word processing and audiotyping skills with general clerical work over two sites.
To provide an efficient audio, copy typing and word processing service for GPs and Health Professionals as required. This includes the typing of letters, reports, patient referrals, minutes, memorandums etc. in an accurate and quality manner.
To assist the Senior Secretaries with all clerical and administrative duties
To make appointments, bookings and admissions as required using e-Referral Service and the practice clinical system.

SAVILLE MEDICAL GROUP is a large and friendly Practice inthe centre of Newcastle with a branch surgery at Newbiggin Hall.
We care for approximately 43,500 patients with a highproportion of students in the City Centre and a more typical population in thebranch surgery. The workforce consists of 7 GP Partners, 24 Salaried GPs and anextensive Nursing team. In addition, we have a medicines management teamincluding 3 Clinical Pharmacists and over 40 skilled staff members.
We also offer an expanding wellbeing team of 12 staffmembers with experience in mental health, dementia, children's charities,homelessness, substance misuse, domestic abuse and any patient who struggles toengage with services and needs more support than GPs alone can provide.
Our Primary Care Network is led by one of our GP Partnersand Practice Manager enabling us to collaborate with numerous key partnersincluding the CCG, Newcastle Hospital Trust, LMC and our Federation. This helpsthe practice to remain highly proactive in integrating the latest healthcarepolicy and digital systems, which makes every day challenging and rewarding.
