Medical Secretary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Division of Medicine, where applications are now invited for a Medical Secretary (Band 3) working in Respiratory Medicine. The position is working 37.5 hours per week. This is a demanding but rewarding role. It is essential that the successful applicant has a recognised secretarial qualification, or has sufficient proven medical secretarial experience with experience in audio typing, excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

Main duties of the job

The Medical Secretary role is a highly diverse, demanding but rewarding role, working as part of a friendly, dynamic team. It is essential that the successful applicant has proven medical secretarial experience, the ability to type to a high standard and desire to develop and learn new skills and competencies.

The successful candidate will have the confidence and enthusiasm to take on the challenges of this role and experience to manage a high workload. Applicants must be organised, have the ability to work under their own initiative and able to prioritise a competing workload.
