Overview

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated person who will provide secretarial support within the Neurodevelopment Service within Children & Young People\u2019s Division based at Eirias Park, Colwyn Bay. The role supports the co-ordination of the administration arrangements to provide a high quality supportive secretarial service to the consultant, medical and nursing team. The post holder will work independently and be accountable for organising/prioritising their own workload to ensure deadlines are achieved and will support the facilitation of patients along a defined pathway.

Responsibilities
  • Provide secretarial support to the consultant, medical and nursing team within the Neurodevelopment Service.
  • Co-ordinate administration to provide a high quality secretarial service.
  • Organise/prioritise own workload to meet deadlines and work independently.
  • Support the facilitation of patients along a defined pathway.
  • Cover for Pathway-Coordinator as required.
Qualifications
  • Good standard of education.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and be efficient and organized with their own workload.
  • Excellent keyboard skills and experience of the Microsoft Office Package.
  • The post holder will be expected to undertake a variety of duties within the role, including covering for Pathway-Coordinator as and when required.
  • A good telephone manner is essential.
  • The ability to speak Welsh would be beneficial but is not essential; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
