A healthcare facility in Brackley is seeking a dedicated Medical Secretary to provide comprehensive secretarial services to Doctors and Health Professionals. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Secretary for 16 hours per week (Monday or Tuesday and Friday). To provide a comprehensive secretarial service to the Doctors and Health Professionals assisting them in achieving their objectives and to liaise with all relevant and appropriate services.
You will be responsible for processing referrals, typing correspondence and medical reports, and ensuring all documentation meets NHS standards and confidentiality requirements.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a healthcare environment, preferably within a GP practice or similar medical setting. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with complete discretion are essential. Proficiency in medical terminology, excellent communication skills, and competency with SystmOne would be highly advantageous.

Brackley Medical Centre is an innovative and supportive training practice which aims to provide high quality, safe and personalised patient care to over 16,000 patients. We are based in a purpose built health care facility which opened in 2020; the building is shared with both Northamptonshire Health Foundation Trust and Oxford University Hospital Trust who both operate a variety of secondary care services and satellite clinics which provides our patients with unique local services for our semi-rural practice.

The post holder will beresponsible for undertaking a wide range of administrative and secretarialduties, which include Secondary care referrals and ensuring that theappropriate action is taken. The audio transcription and text processing ofclinical letters, reports and other correspondence as required by the PracticeTeam.
