Job Title: Surgical Medical Sales Representative
We are seeking a driven and knowledgeable Surgical Medical Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you will promote and sell surgical devices, instruments, and/or capital equipment to hospitals, surgical centres, and healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate has strong clinical understanding, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in medical sales or operating room environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with surgeons, operating room staff, hospital administrators, and procurement teams.
- Present, promote, and sell surgical products through effective demonstrations, clinical support, and consultative selling.
- Provide in‑procedure support in operating rooms to ensure proper product usage and optimal outcomes.
- Achieve or exceed sales targets within an assigned territory.
- Conduct product training and educational sessions for medical staff.
- Analyze territory performance, identify growth opportunities, and create strategic sales plans.
- Stay current on industry trends, competitive products, and evolving clinical practices.
- Attend trade shows, conferences, and company training sessions as required.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and account developments using CRM tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Healthcare, or related field (preferred).
- 2+ years of medical sales experience; surgical or OR‑based sales highly preferred.
- Strong clinical aptitude and ability to understand surgical procedures and anatomy.
- Comfortable working in the operating room and supporting live surgical cases.
- Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to manage a territory independently.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned region.
