A national health service in the United Kingdom is seeking a Medical Rota Coordinator to manage and organize medical staff rotas for the Women's & Children division. The ideal candidate will ensure effective rota management, coordinate locum cover, and develop systems to track staff leave. Applicants should have experience in clinical administration and a strong understanding of NHS policies. This role offers a salary range from £31,049 to £37,796 plus HCAS.
The Medical Rota Coordinator is responsible for managing the Women's & Children (W&C)medical rotas. A key function of this role will include the co-ordination of medical staff rotas to ensure the service is resourced to the required levels each day.
Rota management to include: compliance, hours, induction and locum bookings ofthe junior doctors across the division.Advising Service Manager and Lead Clinicians on rota issues and absence recording in line with relevant policies e.g. Special Leave PolicyAhead of the implementation of e-rostering, devising systems to compile and record sickness, annual leave and study leave.The devising and management of W&C Consultants, middle grade and juniordoctor's rota.Take a lead role in filling all vacant shifts, ensuring there is a weekly contingencyplan in place.To ensure the efficient organisation of the rotas, co-ordinating doctors leave in order to support the delivery of the service.To support Clinical Directors, Lead Clinicians, SPRs to ensure that there isappropriate medical cover across the divisionAllocate junior doctors' four, six and twelve monthly rota patternsBe the main point of contact for securing locum cover for Consultants, junior doctors and middle grade staff where there is a staffing shortfallBe the main point of contact for collecting and recording Consultants Middle Grade &Junior Doctor annual leave, study leave and sick leave.

Ensure these rotas are completed proactively to ensure rotas are developed in a forward planning manner to assist with operational and personal arrangements. Liaise with othercolleagues and stakeholders to achieve this.Book locums as required/directed for compliance of rotas and in line with Divisional guidancefor short-term cover.Ensure rotas are circulated to all Divisional areas to make sure cover arrangements arewidely known throughout the Division.
