A medical practice in Sheffield is seeking a team member to support patient care navigation, including appointment booking and processing prescription requests. You will join a dedicated team, engaging with both patients and healthcare staff, while handling general office administration tasks. Full training is provided to new members. This role requires confidence in computer use, flexibility, and a passion for helping others. Starting pay is £12.21 per hour depending on experience.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the medical practice team, offering face to face and telephone contact with patients and working alongside our friendly reception / care navigation team and the wider spread clinical and administrative staff.
The main duties of the role are to offer care navigation to patients, including appointment booking and triage, completing prescription requests, general office duties such as photocopying, filing and scanning letter, secretarial duties like completion of referrals.
We are a long standing, busy Medical Practice based in south-west Sheffield providing care to over 13,000 patients. The practice has an excellent team morale, we all work extremely hard within the busy environment to ensure the best care is provided to all our patients. The practice has a commitment to support the wellbeing of our team. You can enjoy regular breaks with fresh snacks available along with a range of beverages in our calm room. Our team also arrange a variety of optional social team events both in and out of work.
The role involves daily face-to-face and telephone contact with patients, working within our friendly Reception & Care Navigation team. Supporting and liaising with our Admin and healthcare team of over forty people.

You will also be involved in general office administration - processing tasks from clinical staff within the practice, scanning letters, filing, and photocopying.
We are looking for somebody that is flexible and adaptable; confident in computer use and with a passion for helping and supporting patients.
Full training programme offered - this is both internal and external and is fully funded and supported by the practice. Our new team members will be supported by a mentor.
