Temporary Medical Receptionist

Location: Marylebone

Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent

Hourly Rate: £17 - £18ph

Working Pattern: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week (Shift 8:30am‑6pm)

Our client is a modern healthcare clinic offering fully integrated primary services, including General Practice, Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Psychiatry and Psychology. They are seeking a proactive, organised Medical Receptionist to support their clinical team.

Position Overview

As a key member of the administrative team, you will ensure smooth clinic operations and deliver an outstanding patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Front of House & Patient Support – be the friendly face of the clinic, responding to patient enquiries professionally and with care.
  • Provide high‑quality administrative support to maintain smooth patient flow.
  • Administration & Coordination – manage clinical diaries and coordinate patient appointments efficiently.
  • Draft and send letters, reports, and correspondence to a high professional standard.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records at all times.
  • Collaborate closely with clinicians and administrative colleagues to support patient care.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a Front of House or medical administrative role, preferably in a private healthcare setting.
  • A warm, professional communication style with the ability to interact confidently with patients and clinicians.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a busy environment.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with digital systems such as Microsoft Office and healthcare software (experience with Semble or similar is a plus).
  • A genuine commitment to delivering a seamless, first‑class patient experience.
