Are you a competent and compassionate individual with experience in NHS GP services or a similar role? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Part‑Time Medical Receptionist.
Reports To: Deputy Practice Manager
Greet patients and visitors warmly and professionally.
Manage patient check‑in and check‑out procedures.
Schedule, confirm and reschedule appointments using EMIS, Klinik.
Handle patient inquiries in person, by phone or via email.
Collect and process patient information.
Administrative Support
Maintain and update patient records accurately and confidentially.
Prepare and manage correspondence, reports and other documentation.
Support clinicians with administrative needs.
Ensure waiting area and reception desk are clean, organised, and stocked with necessary materials.
Liaise with other healthcare professionals, pharmacies and laboratories as required.
Compliance and Confidentiality
Adhere to all relevant healthcare, data protection, and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR).
Follow clinic protocols for patient safety and infection control.
Maintain confidentiality of patient and practice information at all times.
