A healthcare practice in Bolton is looking for a new receptionist to join their team. The successful candidate will manage first patient contact, appointment bookings, and daily administrative tasks. Experience in a GP practice and familiarity with clinical software EMIS are preferred, but training will be provided. This role requires strong organization skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Pike view- Dr Malhotra & Partners require a new team member to join our existing reception team, we are looking for an enthusiastic, well organised member to help us continue to achieve high standards in delivering Primary Care to our patients.
The successful candidate will be responsible for first patient contact and triage of patients to the correct clinical personnel, you need to be able to multi task and work under pressure and meet deadlines demanded of this role for a very busy reception. An experience of reception/customer services preferably in primary care would be desirable, however, training will be given for our clinical system EMIS and all processes.
We are a medium sized practice supported by an excellent clinical and administration team. We are also a GP training practice, we achieve high QOF, Bolton Quality Contract and other Enhanced Services along with working as part of the Horwich PCN.
Dealing with patients via telephone or face to face in Reception. Booking of appointments and triage to the correct clinical personnel, taking messages, dealing with prescription requests, monitoring of practice emails and action accordingly, ordering of pathology supplies, photocopying, saving patient documents/information in patient records, actioning general day to day administration tasks been given by Manager, ringing patients to action practice notes from the clinicians, receiving patient samples for testing and making sure that personal details are correct, making sure all reception areas are kept tidy and left ready for use by you colleagues and handover of any unresolved or urgent matters. You must also be able to provide cover due to holiday and sickness relief for colleagues.
