Job summary

Hammersmith Medicines Research (HMR), part of Nucleus Network, is seeking a Medical Officer to join our Medical Services team in London. You will work under the supervision of senior physicians to assess potential trial participants, obtain informed consent and provide medical cover across screening, ward and outpatient activities.

We are looking for GMC registration, ALS, Foundation training, and a strong interest in clinical pharmacology and medicines development.

Qualifications

• GMC registration with licence to practise
• At least two years’ clinical experience after qualifying
• Completion of UK Foundation training or equivalent
• Advanced Life Support (ALS)
• Appropriate medical indemnity cover, good clinical judgement and communication skills
• An interest in clinical research and medicines development
• Previous clinical research experience is desirable but not essential

We’re looking for a Medical Officer to join our Medical Services team at Hammersmith Medicines Research (HMR), part of Nucleus Network, a global early-phase clinical trials organisation with facilities in the UK, Australia and the USA.

The role

Working under the supervision of senior physicians and Principal Investigators, you’ll:

• assess and screen potential clinical trial participants
• take medical histories and carry out physical examinations
• explain studies and obtain informed consent
• provide medical cover across screening, ward and outpatient activities
• review clinical findings and help ensure participant safety
• participation in the on-call rota
• work closely with physicians, nurses and other research professionals.

About you

You’ll need:

• full GMC registration with a licence to practise
• at least two years’ clinical experience after qualifying
