Job summary

Southgate School in the London Borough of Enfield is seeking a calm, empathetic Medical Officer to lead day‑to‑day medical room operations, oversee First Aid provision in school and on trips, and coordinate a team of First Aiders. You will support students with medical needs during the school day, respond to emergencies, and help maintain a safe, caring environment that promotes staff and pupil well‑being.

Southgate is a highly successful mixed comprehensive school (1400 on roll including 290 in Sixth Form), dedicated to helping every student flourish. We are looking to appoint a calm, empathetic, and highly organised Medical Officer to lead our day-to-day medical room operations.

You will lead on whole school First Aid provision both in school and for school trips, acting as main First Aider and coordinating support from other First Aiders, have overview of those staff currently First Aid trained and those needing to be updated and support all students with medical needs that occur during the school day including emergencies.
