Coventry North Primary Care Network
As a Medical Notes Summariser, you'll play an important role in ensuring our patient records are accurate, clear and up to date, helping our clinical teams quickly access the information they need to provide safe and effective patient care.
You’ll review and summarise medical records, maintain accurate problem lists, record relevant clinical information and help improve the overall quality of our patient records.
As the practice operates across Keresley Green, Keresley End and Fillongley, you will need to be able to work across our sites. You'll be part of a friendly, professional team where accuracy, confidentiality and attention to detail are essential, and where the work you do behind the scenes makes a genuine difference to both patients and clinicians.
The role also offers variety beyond day-to-day summarising, including supporting the maintenance and improvement of patient records, adding immunisation and seasonal vaccination information, undertaking audits and helping us continually improve the quality of the information held within our clinical system.
You’ll benefit from ongoing, practice-specific training to support your development and keep your knowledge and skills up to date. If you're organised, methodical and take pride in getting the detail right, this is an opportunity to develop your career in primary care while making an important contribution to the care we provide to our local community.
The Medical Notes Summariser will be responsible for reviewing patient medical records and ensuring key clinical information is accurately captured and easy for clinicians to access. The role will involve summarising records, maintaining accurate and relevant problem lists and helping to ensure patient information is clear, consistent and up to date.
You will also support the quality of our clinical records through audit work, immunisation and vaccination data entry, and identifying information that may require clarification or escalation to a clinician. You will manage records through the summarising process, ensuring they are appropriately tracked, filed, retained or transferred as required.
This is a role requiring excellent attention to detail, confidentiality and the ability to work independently while recognising when clinical input is needed.
At Park Leys Medical Practice, you'll join a warm, supportive and professional team that prides itself on collaboration and high-quality patient care. Our administrative and clinical teams work closely together across our three sites, creating an environment where communication is open, everyone is respected and teamwork is central to how we operate.
We're a practice that values reliability, integrity and a strong work ethic. We recognise that general practice can be busy, so we focus on supporting one another, maintaining high standards and creating a positive and organised working environment. From the moment you join, you'll receive structured training, clear guidance and support from experienced colleagues.
Working with us means being part of a practice rooted in its community, with strong patient relationships and a commitment to continuous improvement.
