A healthcare provider in Ipswich is seeking a Medical Notes Summariser to work one day per week. The role involves summarising and coding clinical information into electronic health records using SystmOne. Ideal candidates should have attention to detail and a GCSE in English and Maths, with experience in a medical setting preferred. Full training will be provided, with membership to the NHS Pension Scheme offered as part of the role.
We are looking for a candidate to work one day per week, this could be split into 2 half days, may suit a medical student. The Medical Notes Summariser is responsible for summarising and read-coding relevant clinical information into patients electronic health records using SystmOne, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to the Ravenswood Medical Practice Summarising Protocol. The role involves managing both paper and electronic records, maintaining high-quality data standards, and supporting the practice in meeting summarising targets.
Responsible for reviewing, summarising, and coding patient medical records from paper and electronic sources, ensuring accuracy and compliance with practice protocols. Maintains up-to-date, well-organised records, supports data quality and confidentiality standards, and provides general administrative support to the clinical team.
You will be joining our large Medical Practice team consisting of 9 GPs, 5 paramedics, Nursing team of 11, Admin team of 12 and Reception team of 12 serving a population of approximately 15,000 patients.

Monitor summarising progress to ensure practice targets are achieved.

Photocopy or prepare documentation as required.
Maintain quality assurance in summarising by following the Ravenswood Medical Practice Summarising Protocol.
Record immunisations, allergies, and sensitivities accurately.
Maintain records in a neat, tidy, and up-to-date condition, including correct labelling and repair where needed.
Undertake general administrative tasks to support clinical staff when required.
Dispose of duplicate or unnecessary documents in line with the shred policy.
