Salary: Circa £50,000-£70,000 OTE (depending on experience)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are recruiting for a company seeking an experienced Medical Negligence Solicitor to join their expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to manage a high-quality and varied caseload in a supportive and progressive environment.

The Role:

The successful candidate will manage Medical Negligence cases from inception through to settlement or trial. You will handle all aspects of litigation, including investigations, obtaining expert evidence, drafting pleadings, vetting and risk‑assessing new cases, and liaising with external stakeholders. You will also contribute to the growth and development of the department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of Medical Negligence cases
  • Undertake investigations, obtain expert evidence, and draft pleadings
  • Vet and risk‑assess new cases and enquiries
  • Liaise with clients, experts, and external stakeholders
  • Work proactively to meet deadlines and targets
  • Support the growth and development of the department
Candidate Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience handling Medical Negligence claims, including litigated matters
  • Strong billing history
  • Proficient in Proclaim Case Management
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and client‑care skills
  • Advocacy experience is beneficial but not essential
