KIMS Hospital in Maidstone, Kent’s largest independent hospital, seeks a Medical Laboratory Assistant to support a UKAS-accredited Pathology Lab. You will assist Biomedical Scientists and handle specimen labeling, recording and equipment upkeep in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English, Maths, and Science.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Confidence in using IT systems and a willingness to learn new platforms.
• Experience working in a healthcare or laboratory environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support Biomedical Scientists with technical and administrative tasks.
• Receive, label and record specimens using IT systems.
• Maintain and clean laboratory equipment per SOPs and regulatory standards.
• Help uphold ISO:15189 accreditation through compliant practices.
