A leading healthcare provider in the UK seeks a Medical Laboratory Assistant to support technical staff in processing patient samples. Responsibilities include receipt and preparation of samples, maintaining records, and supporting laboratory operations. Berkshire and Surrey Pathology Services (BSPS) is one of the largest NHS‑led pathology networks in the UK, formed in partnership between Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust.
This role is based at Wexham Park Hospital and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a busy and progressive pathology service.
As a Medical Laboratory Assistant, you will support the scientific and technical staff in the receipt, preparation, and processing of patient samples to ensure accurate and timely results.
The post requires attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to health, safety, and quality standards. Please note: this position is not suitable for graduates seeking progression to a Biomedical Scientist role.
