Job summary

Cabrini Health is seeking a Medical Imaging Assistant on a casual basis for Cabrini Malvern and Brighton campuses. You will support Radiographers and clinical staff, deliver warm patient service and help maintain a clean, efficient imaging environment in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Casual shifts are Monday to Friday with weekend/public holiday shifts possible. Previous Medical Imaging Assistant experience is desirable; training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties and maintain cleanliness of equipment.
• Assist receptionists with calls, appointments and inpatient scheduling.

Medical Imaging Department

Cabrini’s Medical Imaging provides a 24-hour service seven days a week at our Malvern campus. The department services a variety of patients including outpatients, inpatients and ED patients across our Malvern and Brighton campuses. Modalities include General Xray, Cath Lab, Hybrid Lab, Angiography, CT, MRI, Mammography and DEXA. We also offer Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine and PET imaging.

How you will make an impact:

As a Medical Imaging Assistant in our Medical Imaging department at Cabrini Malvern Hospital, you will have the opportunity to work within a supportive team where we work closely together to achieve the best patient outcomes and provide a high standard of care. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with initiative and energy to work and develop in a fast paced environment.

The role will be for casual shifts from Monday to Friday. Weekend and Public Holiday shifts may also be available.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Providing support and assistance, under the direction of a Radiographer or other clinical staff
• Providing a high level of customer service to patients, visitors and staff
• Contributing to the team, cooperating and communicating effectively
• Performing cleaning duties and maintaining cleanliness of equipment
• Assists the Receptionists when necessary, including answering the telephone, making appointments, and scheduling inpatients.

About you:

We are seeking previous experience as a Medical Imaging Assistant (desirable), or experience within a similar work environment, however, additional training and support will be provided to the successful candidate.

You will also have the following:

• Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team
• Ability to take direction
• Sound communication skills, proficient in written and spoken English
• Ability to work in a physically demanding role
