Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a Cleaner to join our team at Royal Papworth Hospital in Cambridge. You will maintain a clean, safe environment, carrying out general cleaning duties across offices and welfare areas to high standards.

Adhere to health & safety and COSHH procedures, operate cleaning equipment correctly and be customer-focused. DBS checks may be required; a right to work in the UK is essential. Join our inclusive, values-driven facilities management team.

Qualifications

• Right to Work in the UK and DBS check as required.
• Experience in cleaning in commercial/public sector is desirable.
• Good understanding of cleaning methods, equipment and materials.
• Awareness of health, safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general cleaning duties including vacuuming, mopping, dusting and waste disposal.
• Clean welfare areas, offices and washrooms to required standards.
• Replenish consumables such as toilet paper, hand towels and soap.
• Follow health and safety, COSHH, and cleaning procedures at all times.
• Use cleaning equipment safely and report maintenance issues.
• Work efficiently to complete tasks within agreed timescales.
• Maintain professional and courteous interactions with customers and staff.
• Support site-specific cleaning requirements as directed.
