Job summary

TRS Consulting in the United Kingdom is seeking a Medical Devices Technician responsible for setting up and supporting surgical camera systems, inspecting and replacing devices, and providing hands-on clinical support to staff to promote equipment functionality and patient care.

The role requires hospital environment experience, GCSE level education, and potential clinical qualifications; full training is provided, with a strong team culture focused on patient care and equipment reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a healthcare or operating theatre environment.
• May have previously worked as a Healthcare technician or Medical Technician in the forces.
• Any clinical qualifications would be beneficial, e.g. nurse / operating department practitioner (ODP) / certified medication technician (CMT).

Responsibilities

• The set-up and support of surgical camera systems.
• Inspecting, troubleshooting, and replacing medical devices.
• Providing client support in clinical areas to promote equipment functionality and use, enabling staff to concentrate on clinical care of patients.
• Facilitating training to all levels of staff as required.
• Completion of weekly and quarterly reports alongside supporting documents as required.
