A rural medical practice in the UK seeks a Medical Administrator to join their administration team. This part-time role (up to 22.5 hours/week) involves tasks such as scanning documents and coding medical records. Ideal candidates are computer literate, have prior administrative experience, and possess strong communication skills. Experience in a healthcare setting is an advantage. Undertake any other duties appropriate to the grade as directed by the Partners or Practice Manager.
The practice is constantly evolving and the job description must be seen in this context. The above duties are therefore neither prescriptive nor comprehensive and may be subject to amendment as developments occur. The implications of such changes will be discussed with the post holder to ensure that objectives remain reasonable and achievable. The post will be subject to an annual participatory system of evaluation to enable attainment of joint objectives to be regularly reviewed and assessed. The post holder will be expected to undertake relevant training and personal development, including attendance at designated whole practice meetings.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
