About You

You’re an excellent communicator, with experience working with media.

You’re an organised individual and can balance multiple pieces of activity at once, taking responsibility for important duties that support the day-to-day function of the Media Relations team.

As an enthusiastic individual, you’ll be keen to find compelling news stories that support the university’s communications strategy. You’ll bring excellent writing skills, with proven experience working with media to secure impactful coverage.

You’re skilled at working reactively to short deadlines, to support the team in responding to press enquiries, while staying on top of the news agenda to spot comment opportunities for UWE Bristol academics.

You’ll monitor and evaluate the university’s media coverage, producing reports for the media team to share with senior colleagues across the university.

This is a full time, permanent post working 37 hours per week.
