Job summary

Flex Legal in London is seeking an experienced Media Disputes Lawyer to join on an interim maternity-cover basis, advising on reputation management, media law and privacy matters. The role covers pre- and post-publication issues for claimants and defendants, including breach of confidence, data protection, harassment and injunctions; you will work with the wider Media Disputes team on high-profile matters.

This hybrid London role starts January 2027 for 9+ months, with 2–3 days in the office

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years' post-qualification experience.
• Experience in Media Disputes, Media Law or Reputation Management is essential.
• Experience advising on breach of confidence, invasion of privacy, harassment and data protection matters.
• Experience acting for both claimants and defendants.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Media Disputes Lawyer to join a leading UK law firm on an interim basis, covering a period of maternity leave. You will join an established team, advising on a broad range of reputation management and media law matters.

This is an excellent opportunity for a specialist Media Disputes Lawyer with strong reputation management experience to join a highly regarded team and work on complex, high-profile matters. The role will involve advising both claimants and defendants on pre and post publication issues, as well as a range of contentious privacy, confidentiality and data protection matters.

Start Date: January 2027

Duration: 9+ Months

Working Pattern: Full-Time

Location: London/Hybrid (2-3 days per week in office)

Rate: £Daily Rate DOE
