An established industry player is seeking a talented Media Planner to enhance its offline media strategy. This role involves planning, buying, and reporting on Out Of Home campaigns, ensuring excellent client servicing and innovative campaign development. Reports to: Media Account Director
Position objective
To contribute to AKA’s offline media strategy and sector development, and client servicing, specifically by planning, buying, running and reporting on campaigns; presenting to clients, via regular client calls and meetings. New Business
• Contribute big ideas and sector expertise to pitch and tender processes including cost matrix and planning grids
• Attend pitch meetings where required
• Onboard new clients including auditing and client inductions/education
General Responsibilities
• Planning and buying Out Of Home press and broadcast media campaigns using industry tools and agency systems/process, including managing own administrative workflow with excellent attention to detail. Previous planning experience in Out Of Home is a must.
• Work with the rest of the Media planning team to provide integrated campaigns
• Delivering new opportunities for our clients
• Initiate and develop excellent media owner relationships
• Negotiate best value and rates with media owners
• Coordinate with internal and external studio/designers to create innovate campaigns
• Input to post campaign reports and insights, including recommends for future campaigns
• Campaign bookings and monitoring including management of copy supply, in-situ examples
and added value
• Provide cover where necessary for other members of the team
• Use of agency and industry standard planning tools including TGI, Touchpoints, YouGov,
Mediatel and Nielsen to structure and substantiate planning
• Continuing to learn and develop – track certifications, exams and training with view to
improving AKA accreditation
• To provide training and mentoring to new starters and junior team members
Personal development
• To use internal resource to further knowledge and understanding of all areas of offline and online media to encourage cross pollination in planning
• To act as a positive ambassador for the Media planning team and the agency both internally and externally by leading by example, and acting in a consistent, professional manner
