Job summary

Magna International Limited, within Magna Mechatronics, Mirrors & Lighting, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and general maintenance on plant and production equipment. You will troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues, maintain a clean, safe work area, and ensure safety procedures are followed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, update, and work on all equipment in designated area of responsibility.
• Must have current knowledge of electrical codes and electricity and be able to apply it to the job.
• Demonstrated good interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills to communicate with and work in a team environment.
• Machine rebuilding and mechanical knowledge including electrical required.
• Knowledge of S.C. OSHA standards and various industrial building/construction codes.
• Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, PLCs and PCs.
• High school diploma or GED
• Three to Five years of manufacturing maintenance experience required (Automotive Tier 1 experience preferred).
• Mechanical or Electrical technician certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and general maintenance on plant and production equipment on a routine and emergency basis.
• Troubleshoot and repair all electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic problems on machines and auxiliary equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Diagnose malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
• Perform safety audits on a regular basis.
• Maintain downtime logs and change logs.
• Direct contractors and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Order needed parts for projects and manage requisitions.
