Salary: £45,000

Location: Gloucester

Hours: Week 1 - Mon-Fri, 6am - 4pm (30min break)

Week 2 - Mon-Tues 9:30 - 7pm (30min break), Wed OFF, Thurs-Fri 9:30am-7pm, Sat 6am - 12:30pm

We're looking for a skilled Mechatronics Technician to join our manufacturing team in the food production industry and play a key role in keeping our production equipment running safely, efficiently and with minimal downtime.

Reporting to the Maintenance Engineering Manager, you'll support the design, installation, operation and maintenance of electrical, electronic and mechanical systems across the site. This is a hands‑on role where no two days are the same.

What you'll do
  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to keep production lines running smoothly
  • Perform inspections, planned maintenance and preventive repairs
  • Install, test and calibrate machinery and equipment
  • Work with PLCs, drives and integrated mechatronic systems
  • Support continuous improvements in automation, mechanics and efficiency
  • Maintain accurate technical records and ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards
  • Assist with new equipment installations and special engineering projects
  • Collaborate with external service providers when required
