Overview

Position: Mechanical Test Technician
Location: Gloucester
Type: Permanent
Working hours: 37 hours per week, flex start and finish
Salary: 36,000 per annum

Responsibilities
  • Test hydraulic and mechanical components, following written instructions and adhering to industry standards and health and safety practices.
  • Test units to the correct specifications and record results.
  • Carry out fault finding and repair of components where required.
  • Follow test procedures and ensure full traceability.
  • Support quality inspection, investigations and project work.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of company health and safety policy.
Qualifications
  • Background within a similar role, working with mechanical or hydraulic components, ideally in assembly and test.
  • Understanding of health and safety risks associated with high pressure testing.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and information.
  • Experience of working to tight tolerances and deadlines.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team.
