A leading engineering firm in the UK is seeking a Mechanical Test Rig Fitter/Technician to support the build and maintenance of fuel testing rigs. This night shift role requires relevant mechanical qualifications and a strong mechanical background. Alongside other technicians this individual will be responsible for supporting build, maintenance, calibration, repair and operation of Engineering and Production Fuel Rigs used to test Aero‑engine fuel control system components. This includes the pipework manufacture and build of test rig fluid circuits, assembly of test circuits on mobile skids, installation of transducers and their calibration/maintenance and supporting the breakdowns and operation of the rigs. This individual also participates in process documentation creation, continuous improvement activities, 5S and problem solving as required to ensure that engineering test provisioning and maintenance is consistent with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
The role is night shift based with the following days and hours and includes shift premium on top of base salary:
Sunday: 22:30-06:00
Monday‑Thursday: 22:00-06:00
To support training and acquiring required competencies the successful candidate will be required to work day based shifts for a period of 3‑6 months.
