Job summary

TecQuipment Ltd. in Long Eaton is seeking a capable engineer to join our testing team.

You will work in a fast-moving production environment, following established test procedures to check components, sub-assemblies and finished products, with the initiative to resolve issues under tight deadlines. The role requires hands-on testing experience, the ability to read engineering drawings, fault diagnosis skills, and an HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Previous test experience in a mechanical/inspection background.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and diagnose faults.
• Flexible, positive approach with attention to detail and problem-solving.
• Minimum of HNC in Mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Fitting, assembly, or prototype build experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe testing of mechanical products and sub-assemblies per test methods and priorities.
• Log test data for future reference.
• Fault find to component level as needed.
• Inspect bought-in items to design specification and accept/reject as necessary.
• Assist with repair/returns as required.
• Assist with manufactured parts inspection as required and accept or reject.
• Maintain accurate bookings within the DART system.
• Test simple electrical units and calibrate electrical parts such as load cells and PCBs.
