A leading waste management company in the UK is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to drive engineering activities, ensuring high standards of compliance and maintenance. Responsibilities include responding to breakdowns, executing preventative maintenance, and working with mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have a Mechanical NVQ Level 3 and experience with hydraulics and pneumatics. This is an opportunity to improve recycling efforts and contribute to sustainability efforts within the industry.
The role holder will effectively drive engineering activities at our facility to deliver all operational aspects of the facility. The role holder will be responsible for driving plant availability through ensuring all PPMs, reactive maintenance, engineering, and process improvements are carried out and implemented in a timely manner. The role holder will drive best practice on a shift basis through high engineering, compliance, and H&S standards. Your core responsibilities.
