Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician to join the Estates & Facilities Directorate. The role focuses on maintaining hospital mechanical systems, HVAC, and plumbing, with opportunities to advance within a large NHS Trust.
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, carrying out planned maintenance, reactive repairs, and compliance tasks in a complex clinical environment, ensuring safety and service continuity across sites.
Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across a wide range of mechanical systems. Diagnose and resolve faults on plumbing, HVAC and associated mechanical plant. Undertake testing, inspection and statutory compliance activities (e.g., pressure systems, water hygiene tasks). Support minor installation works across the retained estate.
