A global engineering firm is seeking a Mechanical Technician in Uxbridge to support the assembly of safety-critical aerospace components. Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am - 5pm, Friday 8am to 12pm

Responsibilities

• Building mechanical sub-assemblies such as seat pans, guide rails, and survival kits to spec
• Working from detailed engineering drawings and build instructions
• Conducting self-inspection and stage certification of completed work
• Using SAP to log parts, track jobs, and update work progress
• Handling tools, gauges, and components with precision and care
• Supporting lean initiatives and maintaining a clean, safe working area

Qualifications

• Previous mechanical assembly or technician experience in a manufacturing setting
• Competent using basic hand tools and torque equipment
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings
• Comfortable using computers - SAP or Excel knowledge is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical work ethic
• Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in core subjects
