Overview

Mechanical Technician. Bedford, commutable from: Kettering, Cambridge, Northampton, Luton, Milton Keynes.

£28,000-£32,000 + Shifts (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm) + Shift Premium + Optional Overtime + Development + Company Benefits.

Excellent opportunity for a mechanically biased engineer looking to join one of the UK's leading research facilities within an interesting and unique field. The company is one of the only facilities in the world that specialise in their niche, and they are seeking a new team member to contribute to bespoke projects and technical work. The day-to-day duties involve maintenance of heavy plant equipment and ensuring the facility runs smoothly. The role operates on a rotating shift pattern with plenty of optional overtime.

The ideal candidate will have a hands-on engineering qualification and experience working with heavy plant equipment. The candidate must hold a British passport and be able to pass security clearance.
