Mechanical Supervisor – Water Sector

Location: Bournemouth

Rate: Up to £500 Umbrella PAYE per day

Type: Contract (6 months)

About the Role

Are you an experienced Mechanical Supervisor with a background in water or wastewater treatment projects? This is an excellent opportunity to join a Tier 1 water company, taking a key role in managing and overseeing mechanical operations across major water and wastewater treatment sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate mechanical operations as part of the site's delivery team.
  • Supervise and manage staff and subcontractors involved in installation, maintenance, and repair of treatment equipment and systems.
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and partners to ensure all mechanical works meet project specifications and industry standards.
  • Conduct and oversee surveys and quality inspections on pumps, valves, filtration systems, dosing systems, and associated plant.
  • Maintain the highest standards of Health & Safety, especially when working around pressurized systems and hazardous substances.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within the water or wastewater treatment sector.
  • Strong mechanical background, with hands‑on experience in pumps, valves, filtration, and dosing systems.
  • Relevant mechanical qualification and SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
