The role involves installing, commissioning, and servicing pumping equipment at client sites nationwide. Ideal candidates will have a background in mechanical repair or fitting, be flexible and self-motivated, and possess strong prioritisation skills. The position includes attending various sites, completing detailed site reports, and may require occasional overnight stays. Training will be provided, making this suitable for those willing to learn and develop in the field.

About Us

My client is one of the UK’s market leaders in the supply, manufacture, design, installation, and servicing of pumping equipment.

The Role

They are currently seeking a Mechanical Site Operative to join their dynamic external site team, covering the Kent area. Working alongside an electrical site engineer, you will be responsible for installing, commissioning, and servicing pumping and related equipment at client sites nationwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend nationwide installations, servicing, and breakdowns
  • Service, repair, and assemble pumps and associated equipment.
  • Participate in a rota to provide standby cover over weekends and bank holidays when required.
  • Complete detailed site reports after each visit and submit promptly with customer sign-off.
  • Promote company products and represent the company in a professional manner
Requirements
  • A background in mechanical repair, service or fitting
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to manage your own workload effectively.
  • Strong prioritisation skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Self‑motivated with a “can do” approach.
  • Mechanical qualification would be an advantage but training will be given
