Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Mechanical QC Inspector for a 6-month contract at AWE in Reading. This is an on-site role requiring expertise in mechanical inspections and compliance with technical documentation.

The ideal candidate will have experience on AWE or similar regulated sites. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, reviewing documentation, and ensuring overall compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Experience on AWE/nuclear/highly regulated sites is preferred.
• Strong background in mechanical inspection, including installation, fabrication, and pipework.
• Ability to work on-site and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections in line with ITPs and approved procedures.
• Witness/verify mechanical installation and testing activities.
• Review quality documentation and support handover and lifetime records.
• Identify non-conformances and support close-out actions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards, drawings, and specifications.
