  • Document QA checklists, non-conformance reports, and method statements.

As part of our team, the Mechanical QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring all mechanical installations and systems meet project specifications, regulatory standards, and quality benchmarks. This includes developing inspection plans, conducting audits, and supporting commissioning activities across K&M projects.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement mechanical QA/QC plans and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Conduct inspections and audits of mechanical systems (HVAC, pipework, public health).
  • Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Manage documentation including method statements, QA checklists, and non-conformance reports.
  • Support testing and commissioning activities (e.g., pressure tests, functional tests).
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve quality issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and corrective actions.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to site teams on QA/QC procedures.
  • Assist in preparing handover documentation for client acceptance.
Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3+ in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services.
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in mechanical QA/QC within construction or M&E.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and installation standards.
  • Familiarity with UK building regulations and QA/QC frameworks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QA/QC software tools.
  • SMSTS or CSCS
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
