Position: Mechanical Project Manager

Location: Birmingham with national travel for projects

Salary: £50-65k based on experience

We've partnered with a M&E company founded in the 1980s with a national head office in Birmingham, who are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager due to continued growth in the project division.

The Mechanical Project Manager will manage projects from initial inception to handover, including site visits, surveys, designs, estimations, and quotations, negotiate and purchase materials, supervise labour, handle commissioning, client training, and O & M’s. The role ensures delivery within budget and on time. Responsibilities also include managing a team of at least two direct PAYE Installation Engineers plus additional subcontractors.

Mechanical Project Manager Position Requirements

• Experience project managing AHUs, VRV/VRF, ducting, boiler and chiller replacements & upgrades.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with responsibility for running projects and managing a team of engineers who have reported directly.
• Excellent organisational skills, strong commercial awareness, and contract negotiation.
• Technical mastery, communication skills and autonomy.
• Live in within commutable distance in Birmingham with ability and willingness to work on national projects.
