Job summary

CIBSE Journal is seeking an experienced Mechanical Projects Engineer to join a busy UK-wide contractor on projects across schools, hospitals and residential sectors. The role combines project/site management with hands-on mechanical work in a varied environment.

You will assist with managing projects from start to finish, coordinate subcontractors, monitor progress and ensure safety and quality at every stage. Travel and occasional overnight stays are expected.

Qualifications

• Experienced in mechanical installation and/or project engineering.
• Strong practical mechanical knowledge.
• Comfortable working on site and managing subcontractors.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Willingness to travel and stay away when required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with managing projects from start to finish.

• Carry out hands-on mechanical installation, repairs and alterations when required.
• Use hand and power tools as part of the role.
• Attend sites across the UK, with occasional overnight stays and night work when required.

This is a varied role involving both project/site management and hands-on mechanical work.

The Role
