Overview

Based Hertfordshire, a leading, established and highly successful provider of mechanical and electrical installation services to commercial and industrial buildings seeks a skilled Mechanical Project Engineer to join their planned growth and continued success.

Responsibilities
  • Support and enhance the delivery of projects from a technical aspect, reporting to a Project Manager or Contracts Manager.
  • Collate technical submittals, liaising daily with suppliers, site supervisors, project managers, EHSQ advisors and subcontractors.
  • Manage site QA/QC procedures, issuing weekly and monthly reports, and reviewing and coordinating drawings and RFIs.
  • Advise and guide sub‑contracted staff on all technical aspects of projects, raising technical requests for information.
  • Ensure compliance with all site and project requirements, including health and safety obligations, performing troubleshooting techniques to identify problems and apply corrective actions.
  • Maintain document control logs, keeping all logs up to date.
  • Create handover packs and test packs for installed systems, ready for handover.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor Degree Level in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a mechanical trade background in a similar discipline.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the tendering process.
  • Working knowledge of MS Project, MS Office Suite.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to different elements of a project.
  • Immediate availability for immediate consideration.
