Mechanical Production Technician (Days and Nights)

Location: Site based role, commutable from Telford, Shrewsbury, Wolverhampton, Bridgnorth, Market Drayton, Newport, Whitchurch, Ironbridge, Broseley.

Salary: £32,000-£33,500 (increases to £39,500 after 3 months of training, and then £43,500 in the first year). Rest of package includes 4 on 4 off shift, weekly pay, structured training, pension, health cash plan, life assurance, holiday pay, tech schemes, 4 weeks holiday (increased to 5 weeks), and bank holidays.

The Role
  • Work as part of a production team on state‑of‑the‑art automated machinery.
  • Perform line changeovers, fault finding and hands‑on problem solving to maintain output.
  • Work 4 on 4 off rotating shift pattern covering both days and nights.
The Person
  • Experience as a Production Technician, Mechanical Technician, Line Engineer, Electrical Technician, Manufacturing Operator, CNC Setter, Fitter or similar backgrounds.
  • Experience working within a production, FMCG or processing environment.
  • Strong mechanical or technical aptitude with hands‑on problem‑solving ability.
  • A driven individual looking for structured training and long‑term career progression.
