Job summary

A prominent recruitment company in Altrincham is seeking a Maintenance Technician with a mechanical bias to join their maintenance team. The ideal candidate will perform both electrical and mechanical maintenance in various departments, including CNC machining facilities. Qualifications include an HNC/ONC in Mechanical Engineering and a time served mechanical apprenticeship. Job description

Maintenance Technician (Mechanical bias)

£30k - £35k

We are now looking to appoint a Maintenance Technician to join our busy Maintenance team. The successful candidate will be mechanically biased and will carry out electrical & mechanical maintenance in order to maintain plant & equipment in our Foundry, fettling shop and heat treatment department as well as our CNC machining facilities.

Key responsibilities
  • Execute repair and maintenance activities according to best practice, engineering processes, procedures and safety regulations as directed
  • Assist the team in the implementation of H&S policies and procedures for maintenance and associated activities
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance across the site
  • Assist the team in order to improve equipment performance at the lowest possible cost.
Qualifications & Skills
  • HNC / ONC in Mechanical Engineering
  • Time Served Mechanical Apprentice
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics preferred but not essential
  • Willing Team player, creative & innovative
Hours

This role is 37 hours working a 5 day-week and the standard hours are:

  • Mon - Thurs 08:00 - 16:30 and Fridays - 08:00 - 13:00.
