Job summary

Carrs Billington Agriculture (Sales) Ltd. in Lancaster Mill seeks a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our engineering team. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance on a large animal feed mill, fault finding, and ensuring safety, quality and environment standards.

You will work with other operations staff, participate in on‑call rota, and contribute to continuous improvement through proactive maintenance and effective spares management.

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering within a bulk handling production environment.
• Ability to respond positively to changing priorities and stay calm under pressure.
• Proactive can-do attitude and good communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance activities as part of the engineering team, including planned and reactive work.
• Fault finding, PPMs and repairs to minimise downtime.
• Work safely and comply with H&S, quality and environmental requirements.
