Job description
Overview

Are you a mechanically minded Maintenance Engineer looking for stability and a hands-on role within a friendly, established team?

We’re looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a long-standing manufacturing business based in Rowley Regis. This is a day shift role (Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm, with a 1-hour break), offering a great work-life balance and the chance to work in a stable, supportive environment.

What’s on offer
  • Salary: £35,000 – £38,000 (depending on experience)
  • Hours: 7:30am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday
  • Team: Join a close-knit team of 3 experienced engineers
  • Environment: Secure, well-established business with a reputation for looking after its people
The role

This position is mechanically biased (around 70%), working on a range of plant and production equipment. You’ll be involved in reactive maintenance on older machinery while helping the team move towards a more planned preventive maintenance (PPM) approach over time.

You’ll be supported by colleagues who are strong electrically, so this role would suit someone who thrives on mechanical fault-finding, repairs, and keeping the plant running smoothly.

What we’re looking for
  • Strong mechanical maintenance experience (hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, belts, etc.)
  • Confident with reactive and breakdown maintenance
  • Someone who enjoys being part of a team and values stability
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production setting

If you’re looking to join a company where you can settle in long term work on varied equipment, and contribute to developing a more proactive maintenance culture, this could be the perfect opportunity.
