Job Description

As the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer you will be looking after the following

  • Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance on production machinery.
  • Machinery includes corrugators, printers, slotters, die cutters, folder gluers, conveyors and associated handling systems. Undertake mechanical fitting, adjustments, alignment, lubrication, belt/roller changes, guard repairs.
  • Diagnose and repair faults to minimise downtime in the manufacturing process.
  • Ensure all machinery complies with health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to implement process improvements.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
  • Support installation and commissioning of new machinery as required.
  • Adhere to a rotating shift pattern to ensure 24/7 operational coverage.
  • Contribute to the development of maintenance schedules and practices.
The Successful Applicant

A successful Mechanical Maintenance Engineer should have:

  • Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within the industrial or manufacturing sector.
  • Level 3 NVQ or equivalent engineering qualification.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in an engineering environment.
  • Relevant technical qualifications in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Experience working with production machinery and rotating shift patterns.
